This post is simply to share my utter delight with the Orble community. For my Betas that are not members of Orble, I'll fill you in. Orble.com is the blogging community which hosts this Beta Girl site, as well as thousands of other fascinating blogs from writers all over. But, this post is aimed primarily at those who are already active members of Orble.
I just wanted to share my gratitude for all of your kindness and acceptance since I started the Beta Girl Blog. It has been so much fun, and I am overwhelmed by the people who blog here! Sure, I have met the odd hater, but overall, everyone has been so nice. I am particularly impressed by how everyone seems actively involved in each other's blogs, and genuinely invested in their fellow blogger's success.
As those of you who have received comments from me have probably noticed, my interests are varied and far reaching, from politics to pop culture, and while we haven't always agreed, everyone seems to be in favor of an open and fair forum, and it is refreshing to see.
I have blogged in a few different communities, and none have impressed me like Orble. Writing is such a huge passion of mine, and I couldn't ask for a more inviting and exciting environment.
I am in love with love, and in love with being in love, and in love with romance and all that goes along with it. Beta Girl is my online persona and is my way of celebrating the fun side of writing with celebrity profiles, movie reviews, book reviews, etc. But, it has become just as fun for me to read and comment on what everyone else is writing, and from what I can tell, it appears that everyone else here shares my enthusiasm!
In reality, my name is Natalie, I live in the midwest of the U.S., and I am married to my own personal Alpha Male who is the love of my life, and tolerates my secret affair with Gerard Butler! I manage a Video Game store, I am working on my first novel, and I am very involved in politics and activism. I love cats, books, dark fantasy films, casinos, political debates, and conspiracy theorizing.
I just thought I would introduce myself formally to those of you who I have had the pleasure of meeting on this journey, and I look forward to learning more about the rest of you.
