Susan Boyle: Britain's Got Talent Indeed

There really isn't much to say about this following video. It is from the show "Britain's Got Talent".

Her name is Susan Boyle. She's 47 years old. She's going to melt your heart.

Listen, I was moved to tears by this video, and I urge you all to watch it from start to finish.

In a time of cynicism and bitterness, this is just the kind of thing people need to see.

I was going to write a blog on this as well. In a world full of gimmicks and not much talent, this woman was a delight. There are so many bad singers making millions because they show some flesh and know how to gyrate that it's lovely to see a real singer being appreciated. Even if her choicce of music isn't everyones cup of tea, at leat she can actually sing well.

Holy schmoly. I was expecting something sugary-sweet and sickening... and got the most astounding display of vocal ability I've heard in ages. Like everyone else, I was cynical. We should all know better, eh?

She's adorable, too - totally normal, a real laugh. There's no doubt she'll get her dream of being a professional after that...

i desperately want to wax her eyebrows . . .
but what an amazing voice!
i saw a snippet of this on the news, but it was good to see the whole clip here and see how rude they were to her before she sang compared to how much they were humbled afterwards

I am indeed in the UK. Unfortunately I don't watch TV - I own one, but it's a LONG way from the aerial. I only use it for video/DVD. Let me hunt around a bit...

Official site is here. It runs for 7 weeks on Saturdays while the auditions go on, then they take 40 acts and whittle them down.

This and the Paul Potts videos became famous pretty quickly.
Even I have seen it already (and no, I don't lurk video streaming sites that much).
Indeed an awesome presentation, powerful voices and incredible talented people.

There's also a video of a 6 years old girl that participated on the same program and was also awesome.
