Russell Crowe to Australia: Let Snoop Dogg in!
September 23rd 2008 03:38
According to the Australian Telegraph, Russell Crowe has issued a plea to the Australian government to allow rapper Snoop Dogg into the Country to perform.
Apparently, there is some concern regarding the safety of allowing the hip-hop star to travel to Australia, after his run-in with the law in the UK in 2006. During that encounter, Snoop was involved in an altercation with security at Heathrow Airport and was arrested.
In a letter to the Australian government, Crowe is alleged to have said: "I submit to you that Snoop Dogg poses no threat to Australia or to any individual in this country.
"He has toured here three times before without incident and there are no reasons to assume this tour will be anything but the positive experience the last three have been.
"Snoop has built a stellar reputation with promoters and audiences worldwide."
