As a huge fan of Gerard Butler, I had always heard about this short film that he starred in called "Jewel of the Sahara." All I knew is that it was a student film directed by Ariel Vromen, and that it was based on an ancient dirty joke. It became nearly impossible to find...until now!
According to the product description, Gerard Butler plays Charles Belamy, the British army captain who finds himself stranded in the Sahara Desert in the early 1950's with a group of French Legionnaires who appear to have a disturbing, carnal attraction to the camp's camel. A dark comedy, the film chronicles the modern-day efforts of Belamy's son to investigate the mysterious death of his father in the desert.
Here my friends, I present to you, "Jewel of the Sahara". Complete and uncut. And please be warned, it is not "Family Friendly", as they say.
