It is not surprising that Jeffrey Dean Morgan was the winner of our "Pick the Next Alpha Male" contest. After all, he is truly the quintessential Alpha. He's got it all. Commanding presence, surly good looks, playful charm, a deep and sexy voice, and talent to boot!
Although Mr. Morgan is not necessarily a new face in Hollywood, he is definitely becoming a bigger player of late. Perhaps best known as Denny Duquette on "Grey's Anatomy", Morgan has made a string of appearances on the small screen from "Supernatural" to "Weeds" to "The O.C." to "C.S.I". But, it is his movie rolls that are making people stand up and take notice.
Jeffrey made the biggest impact on this Beta Girl as William in the romantic drama "P.S. I Love You." Although his part was fairly small, it made quite an impression as he played guitar and sang and rescued Hillary Swank and friends from being stranded on a lake in Ireland. We even get a brief peek at his cute little tushy in the film!
Morgan's upcoming projects promise to catapult the actor into the big leagues. He will be starring along side John Cusack in "Shanghai" set for a Christmas release, we'll see him with Ryan Gosling and Kirstin Dunst in Andrew Jarecki's "All Good Things", and in his most anticipated role as "Comedian" in Zack Snyder's eagerly awaited adaptation of "Watchmen", due out on March 6, 2009.
Even though he is nicely filling in the shoes of a hot leading man, he is still a regular guy's guy in his everyday life. According to IMDB.com:
