Gerard Butler Takes the World By Storm!
July 14th 2008 00:59
Ok, so obviously when it comes to our favorite AlphaScot, we a bit biased. However, it appears that the rest of the world is catching on, and Gerard Butler's star has been rising to the stratosphere of late.
Here is a little rundown.
This fall sees two new flicks starring Gerry. One is Guy RIchie's "RocknRolla" (see our post with trailer HERE) and the other is "Game", which is an action adventure set in a future where criminals are mere pawns on a virtual chess board, and are forced to do the will of those controlling this giant real life game.
Both films look poised to be hits!
RocknRolla will be premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, and Gerry will be appearing as a panelist at this year's San Francisco ComCon, to promote the film. Game will also be featured at ComicCon.
Set for 2009, Gerry is already working on the romantic comedy, "The Ugly Truth" with Katherine Heigel. And he has so much more in the works, one wonders when he finds time for it all. Especially considering....
According to Sundaymail.co.uk, Gerard Butler will be replacing Patrick Dempsey as the face of Versace's Menswear. This is huge, and Gerard was asked personally by Donatella Versace herself! According to the article, "He is starting to make his mark in the mainstream movie world but also retains an edginess that a label as savvy as Versace know could really work for them."
So, there you have it folks. And with "P.S. I Love You" on DVD and "Nim's Island" coming out on DVD in August, it looks like we won't have a Butler dry spell for some time! Which is just fine with this Beta Girl!
