Fire Fighter Gives CPR to a Cat!

September 14th 2008 17:14
This is one of the most touching things I have ever seen! There is truly a special place in Heaven for people like this.

firefighter with cat
not Al Machado, but still pretty hot, no?

Fireman Al Machado pulled a cat out of a burning building, and realized that the kitty wasn't moving or breathing. He proceeded to give mouth to mouth resuscitation to the tiger angora, and she eventually regained conciousness.

Thanks to Al Machado and his gentle heart, the kitty is alive and well today. Thankfully, no humans were injured in the fire.

I just had to share this with all of you! See the video below:

Hi Natalie

Don't things like this just warm your heart? Just to know there are people like this makes our world a better place. I have heard many reports of firefighters giving CPR to dogs and cats here in Australia in the bushfire season. Although I think the one story that takes the cake happened many many years ago in England.

A young boy's pet tarantula - yes you read that right - was in the house when they rescued the boy. He was beside himself as his spider was his beloved pet. The fireman grabbed the glass case it was in and brought it out with the boy only to see that the spider was a crumpled little ball so he put an oxygen mask over the spider and actually revived it! It was in all the papers. I think it happened while I was still at school.

I am terrified of spiders but I still think what this man did was heroic, he saved the family and gave life back to the pet the boy loved so dearly.

I hate when the word hero is used to describe sports stars etc. These are the true heroes of the world.

Thanks for this incredible story, you've strarted my Monday with a big smile!

That is the sweetest thing I have ever seen. Cheryl's story is pretty amazing, too!
