Christian Bale: Hot British Alpha
April 2nd 2008 03:45
Mr. Bale has been in more movies than we can possibly begin to credit here, but he first came to notice with his unforgettable performance in the 1987 film, "Empire of the Sun."
We first noticed the lovely Christian Bale way way waaayyy back in the day, in a little flick called "Newsies". Who remembers this film? It was a 1992 Disney Musical, and was totally cheesy, and super fun. Well, back then, Christian Bale was just a boy, but now....oh my. Now, he is a man. An ALPHA man. And, we cannot get enough.
Some other notable performances were in "The Machinist" (a film in which he lost a devastating amount of weight to play a paranoid insomniac), "Batman Begins", "American Psycho", "All the Little Animals" (a heartbreaking film, and a truly astonishing performance), and "Velvet Goldmine".
He has also starred in films with some of our other favorite Alphas. "3:10 to Yuma" with Russell Crowe, and "Reign of Fire", with Gerard Butler. Me thinks they travel in packs. Six degrees of Alpha Males. We may need to revisit this concept in a future post!
As one of the most versatile actors in recent memory, Christian Bale is as amazing to watch as he is to ogle.
